Can I still dye my hair even though I have a cyst on my scalp?

I'd really like to go red again but I don't want to aggravate my cyst or cause it come infected. Is dying my hair OK?

I have several cysts on my scalp & due my hair all the time. Have done for 25 years. Hope that helps x
