OCD and Covid-19

Hello everyone. Hope everyone doing fine! I suffer from anxiety and in the past I found it very hard to cope with OCD.

During the pandemic I have been working from home and I' ve been avoiding crowds but now all the restaurants are open and I am bit concerned about how to manage my stress around that. I would like to go out and have a nice dinner or a nice coffee again, see my friends, have fun, go for a long drive or even travel somewhere around my country but I think that I would be very anxious about that. I have to live with the pandemic and with anxiety, but how can I live my life "normal" again? I am afraid that I will go out for a coffee and I will be using hand sanitizer all the time and everyone will laugh at me.

Hello! If you are fully vaccinated you should slowly be able to get back to doing the things you used to along with the rest of the world. I wouldn’t worry about looking silly using hand sanitizer as I think a lot of people ( without OCD) will be using it as well.😉

Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately I won't be fully vaccinated until June or July but I see your point. Thank you so much!
