Hi there, I'm sorry your dealing with this. OCD really, really sucks. But it sounds like you're trying to do the right thing- not giving into the urges OCD gives you to act on these thoughts. I know it is SO difficult and just the fact that you're trying is all that matters. I'm in the same boat as you, working through the scary thoughts OCD gives and not acting on whatever I feel like I need to do. There are a few things that I think help me, though, like seeing a therapist weekly and starting smaller exposures and working up to the big ones. Do you see a therapist who specializes in OCD? If you do already, does he/she do exposures with you? That can sometimes be helpful, because you're not having to do it alone. Or even seeing if someone you live with could help you in resisting OCD. Having support is SO needed in OCD recovery. Even if you don't have anyone right now, I'm there with you and you're gonna get better. We both will! Hang in there!
