Fibro and Moderna booster

Well yesterday I had my booster.

I was told it was a half dose but the person administering it didn't know why when asked. It turns out that all the blurb states a half dose is as effective as the full dose.

I suppose that remains to be seen.

A few hours following the jab an my left arm was aching. It was like a pulled muscle or as is someone had punched me in the top of my arm.

This morning my arm is still the same, I have other flu like aches and pains. Headaches also present, as is a feeling of nausea and loose bowel.

I think these are side effects of the vaccine and not fibro ..... but how can you be completely sure?

How's everyone else faring ?

With the timing, it sounds like effects of the vaccine, which should wear off after a day or two. Your arm might be sore for a week or so after an injection though.

How are you feeling now?

Take it easy and rest!

I thought it was more the booster than fibro related to be honest.Luckily I already work from home so that's not an issue apart from feeling rough.

Didn't feel so bad today, I know I'm not 'right' but still a slight improvement from yesterday. I'm keeping up with the paracetamol which I think is helping.

Hoping to feel better again tomorrow.

Thank you for your concern 😊

It's a half dose because Moderna was a 1 dose vaccination as opposed to Pfizer or Astra zenica which were 2, so a half dose is equivalent to 1 full dose.

Thanks Cat. I did try to research it to find out why the half dose but gave up as I was feeling so ropey!

I've got my booster on the 21st and really want to have it but slightly dreading it at the same time. My husband was quite peaky for a few days and he's 'normal'. Got to try and survive kids possibly bringing Covid back from school and nursery and then if I get through that unscathed survive the booster in time for Christmas! 🙄
