I take
Mucodyne
daily and the release of the mucus is easy but I suppose travelling fast into my 70s there has to be some problems. Just wondering if anybody has any tips to relieve this curse. All do your best to stay well! John

I ordered this new dose and asked for the
mucodyne
, only for the prescription to be rejected as yet another new doctor doesnt think this should be a repeat medication.

Why CHC was refused
The GP tried to prescribe
Mucodyne
(?) but P was unable to swallow it so we are now going to try a patch. The panel for CHC concluded that there was NO complexity OR intensity OR unpredictability to P`s illness - words fail me ! xx

Is an exacerbation always an infection?
I've not been able to keep up with my normal exercise on holiday and stupidly I miscounted my
mucodyne
tablets so not had the right dose of them either so I'm thinking if I now put these things right will it sort itself? Thanks for your help in advance 😊

Mum with bronchiectasis
She had colomycin antibiotic via neb twice daily, takes
mucodyne
and we give her back tapping twice daily to help bring the mucous up ( something that we've basically taught ourselves-thank goodness for YouTube!- as the only physio we have ever seen was for a brief moment on a hospital admission).

Good news
Meanwhile I'm still taking the
mucodyne
and swimming which seems to be helping. Still got to manage the symptoms as before but he says the rest of my lungs apart from the scar tissue is healthy so that is really good x

Mucodyne side effect
Hi I have been tried on carbocisteine on 3 separate occasions and have severe skin rash. I have been told there is no other medication available to loosen the sputum. Does anyone know of any?

How to get Mucodyne?
I've read that the best thing for this is a mucoregulator, and that one of the best ones is carbocisteine, or
mucodyne
being the brand name.
