antibody testing research study

Has anybody else received this offer to take part in a Covid 19 Antibody Research Study? Received mine today. Apparently they are selecting people at random. It came in an NHS envelope so it’s legit. I filled in the details straightaway.

Not me, I’m afraid. I did ask Haemo on last phone call but not available she said. Good that you’ve been picked. Let us know how it goes. xx Fran

Hi Jill, , as Maz says we both had one too , like you I was making sure it was legit but when it didn't ask for cash or bank details it passed muster. I will pop my code in later when I've a bit of time to catch up on my paperwork. Hope you're ok , , the wee mice seem to be settling in nicely , , no Covid antibody concerns for them !!

Yes and mine Chris, I'd just PM messaged jill about a small donation i'd made to Macmillan's after she forwarded the details to me. One of my cats as taken a liking to them as well,so have to keep a close eye on him, I have enough with the real ones he tries to bring in.🐭 lol. Tina.🤗

As my wife says I'd have to get up really early to be a step ahead of her, , , also you ladies are simply more lateral thinking or put another way more devious than us men. I'm sure others will do it so as long as they obtain a sample I don't see any harm unless there is medical history questionnaire to complete. C

Hello , I got the invitation-got very excited - and tried to register but have been rejected on the grounds that I am on Warfarin. They are very concerned that as a finger prick is needed to obtain blood that I will bleed too much and would need medical intervention & I would be at home and not in a medical environment.I contacted them via feedback & they foned me back. I explained that I have been doing finger pricks for many years at home to check my INR and if it was not safe for me to do finger pricks why would my Consultant allow me to do so.! Why would Coag machines exist???!! All self testers have finger pricks!!!!! I also told them that in 11 years of being on Warfarin I never had a problem with bleeding. Told them it was totally illogical what they were saying. Also, diabetics on warfarin check their BM 4-6 times daily. I am so angry & upset about this. Mad world
