If you are not allergic to silver and have an open wound use colloidal silver (minimum 10ppm), you can soak a cotton swab and tape it over the wound. There are premade silver plasters etc you can buy. Colloidal can also be taken internally but you MUST adhere to their guidelines as it builds up in the body over a lifetime (even though a lot needs to be taken over a long time to have any adverse effects). It has been proven in hospitals to fight MRSI (flesh eating bug) that antibiotics cannot fix.

I'd caution taking it prior to an MRI depending where & why you're having one done.

Is your foot infected or ulcerated?

Yes. I have fought two recent foot infections. One was an HPV infection that was very painful. I finally got that under control and now I have a different infection near my toenail. My immune system seems pretty angry lately. I think I'm gonna try the colloidal silver that Fee recommended.

I had a foot infection that wouldn’t heal a couple of years ago, rather than more antibiotics the doc sent me to the nurse who dressed it with Inadine, an iodine dressing, which worked perfectly. You can buy them at the pharmacist or online. You could ask your doc about using this. Good luck.

Get them to check white blood cell count, sounds as if they are not taking this into account across the board after reading other posts. My son takes meds which lower his WBC, when he gets a sore throat or infection he is given antibiotics immediately. I struggle to get them prescribed by my gp.

It is hard to say what this is; however, leg-foot ulcers are a potential serious side effect of hydroxyurea. It is a sign of HU toxicity and can ultimately lead to gangrene. This is something that should never be treated lightly. HU cannot be tolerated by everyone and if you are HU-intolerant than a change in meds regimen is critical. Suggest you not just treat this as a topical issue and look at potential underlying cause.
