Hi Pam,

Guess what ???We are coming up to Thirsk today.....we stay with friends in Cowesby which is a stones throw from Thirsk......is it only 5yrs since we 'met',feel that I have known you always!!!Hope we don't dislike each other on really 'seeing'!!!!!We both have dreadful chest colds( Brit Bugs ),hope the Northern air next few days clears it up.See you Friday.xx

I will be there most likely with my hubby, I'm travelling from just outside Bristol, hence I will have to stay over..

Any idea of the Venue, I would love to know to book hotel nearby..

Can't find any information on venue as yet..😊

The venue is at The Centre for Life which is very near The Central Station (railway station) and Metro. The County Hotel is opposite the station. I think there is also a hotel at the station. Others nearby are Hotel Indigo, Hampton by Hilton and The Vermont. My husband and I are going - it’s very helpful to meet others affected by an MPN and hear useful information from the experts.

Crowne Plaza and Jury’s Inn are near The Centre for Life too.

That makes it so much easier I'm very grateful for all the information provided..

Joe sounds mad possibly, but cheaper for us to fly up from Bristol area than by the train..

You seem very knowledgeable of the area, would you know how far out of city and venue I will be if I stayed close to Airport or in city , whichever is easier as I may be alone as hubby is a little unwell at present 🤞he will be with me..

But I'm not missing this for anything if possible...😊

The airport is seven miles from the city centre. You can get the metro from the airport- it takes 25 minutes to the city centre. Hope your journey goes well and your hubby can make it.

Yes I'm hoping Ken will be ok, but it's not like going overseas...

50 min flight, Metro into City, stop near Jurys....😊

Hi. Lots of hotels nearby. Closest probably Jury’s Inn but depending on budget there is County Hotel (where I used to be sales manager 🤣), Sleepers, Hotel Indigo, Copthorne Hotel (where I was also sales manager years ago) . Hope you get sorted 😊

If hubby with me great, but if alone I want to be near Venue and nice hotel with English Brealfast especially if Ken is with me🤞

im really looking forward to meeting everyone next Friday and listening to the talks, my mum and sister have asked to come along as they’re keen to know more too, which is great, I’m sure we’ll all get a lot from it and make new friends, strengthen our support network x

I have ET.. diagnosed 18months ago.

Ilive in south cumbria.. Barrow and would love to meet up with others in same situation.. happy to travel.

i have been to 2 forums.. and found them very interesting, looking forward to finding out dates for this years.

I have met 2 lovely ladies both with ET,1 in manchester and 1 in london.
