Wednesday 21 June meeting – Diet and Nutrition

Laura Miller, Dietitian in Haematology and Gastroenterology, Nottingham City Hospital, will be giving advice on diet and nutrition.

July

Wednesday 21 July meeting – Wills

Action Solicitors, Nottingham, will be giving advice on wills.

August

Wednesday 16 August meeting – Medication

Catherine Loughran, Pharmacist, Nottingham City Hospital, talking about medications used to treat MPNs.

The meetings take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6 – 7.30 pm, in The Maggie’s Centre, Gate 3, Nottingham City Hospital, Hucknall Road, Nottingham, NG5 1PH.

You do not have to book to attend, just turn up, you are very welcome to bring family/friends with you, there is no fee to attend. It is all very informal and gives you and your family/friends a chance to chat with others who have MPNs, get advice from Angela, the MPN Clinical Nurse Specialist, and to swap hints and tips on how to cope with the everyday challenges that living with a MPN brings.

What a good idea having regular meetings. My local hospital is the East Surrey and it had a lovely new Macmillan centre. If anyone else uses the same hospital and would be intetested in seeing if we could set up something similar do get in touch. Message or reply

Since starting on the Rux I have distinctly more enetgy : couldnt have contemplated trying to do sonething like this before.
