husband diagnosed with MPN possibly PV he is now coming of Pregabalin slowly with the hope very soon he will get Ruxolitinib. Coming off the Pregabalin he appears to be going backwards worse night sweats and itching. He still cant take showers or baths very often. 3 Venesections 1st 2days ok then back to itching /nightsweats etc

Can I ask why he need to come of Pregabalin ? I am interested to find out why as I also am on Pregabalin. Thanks.

He has been advised to gradually come off Pregabalin as they believe for him its not as affected as they had hoped. It assisted slightly with his nightsweats and itching but not enough.. Hopefully and eventually he will be on Ruxolitinib

Thank you. I have been on it in various doses for a number of years. I have it for end nerve pain. I have not found it any different for night sweats or itching. My life destroying itching was finally under control with Fexafenadine. Hope your hubby gets something to make life a bit more bearable .
