Been diagnosed with JAK2+ PV for some time, currently on Hydro and Aspirin plus venesection.

We are due to travel to France, Spain and Portugal for three months, I may need a venesection whilst away.

Can these be done whilst on holiday?

Have the same condition but was gone only for one month. Took my aspirin and my Hydroxy Urea. If you really need to have blood drained you should contact a hemo or locate a female vampire.

Hi. I am sure you will be fine. I live in Portugal for up to four months at a time and if my specialist nurse wants to see my bloods in that time I pay about €30 to have them taken, get the results back the same day and scan them over to him. No bother! I could also have a venesection if needed. I see no reason why France and Spain would be any different.
