Can we take osteoporosis drugs while on HU? Are there some we can't take?

I'm feeling rather depressed as now one more drug. Is anyone doing both?

Your haematologist, GP and local pharmacist will check for you. Maz

Hello. I take 1500mg HU daily (and have done for 10 years) and I've been on Alendronic Acid for Osteoporosis since January this year. I've been absolutely fine on the Alendronic Acid and my haematologist is happy about me taking both, as well as Aspirin. So far so good and my GP tells me that my bones will be much better by the time I have my next bone scan - here's hoping!

Hope that helps!

All good wishes.
