I sent him a message a couple of weeks ago but had no response. This is worrying but I'm hoping it is because of internet issues. Last I heard he was back in hospital. I SO hope he's ok.

Dear Jedi,  I think we all realise you are going through a tough passage.   Think about you and your wife very often.   Always wishing the very best for you and don't be in any doubt that you are missed badly.

Hi all

I spoke to Chris 2 weeks ago. He is still weak on his legs and struggling to gain weight but he said he has a good apatite. He is in my thoughts daily and I too miss him. Mel x

Hi Folks, I'm very sorry I've been conspicuous by my absence. I'm not in a good place mentally as recent events have knocked me down a tad. I got the BK virus which put me in hosp for 2 weeks passing blood clots in my pee which is quite painful, coupled with severe weight loss which has robbed my mobility and left me very weak. Again I would be lost without the care and support of my wife.

My bed had to be moved downstairs and I need a wheelchair to get out. I'm up and down to Manc hosp to have my white cells zapped with UV light to counter the GVHD which is very active. This affect  my eyesight so I struggle to see my tablet script even with strong readers on. So ultimately I can't be bothered with media. Forgive me for this. I'm trying hard to eat well and regain some weight but it's an uphill struggle as my bod is not absorbing the food as it should. The UV treatment can take a few months to bear fruit so I need to stick with it. It's a tough school this transplant business but I reckon I'm due a break soon as I need to do some gardening. .

Many thanks for your concern. Love xx

I'm much improved Thank You, , been left with a few issues which will have to adapt to and live with but not complaining as I have a reasonable life quality. .

Your post threw me a bit as haven't put much on of late, but I see it's an old thread.

Hope you are doing well Pat.

I'm doing really well all things considered. Prognosis very poor but I'm going to ignore all that and very hopefully prove them wrong!!! It's a constant battle really but day at a time. Your battle has been so very tough it's hard to be positive and happy 24x7 you win every battle but it's the war you want to beat!!! I have my family over and it's amazing the front you can put on they really do keep me going. I so wish you and your family all the very very best for Christmas and so hope 2019 eases up on you. All the very best Pat

Hi Chris

Good to hear from you; there's nothing to be sorry about, I fully understand the difficulties in replying to messages - and let's be honest you had more important things to think about.

Hope things improve progressively and at the right rate for your well-being.

Looking forward to speaking to you again when you feel ready to do so.

Bye for now

Gary

SO good to hear from you. You are having a real tough time of it but if the love and support from this site helps you should be getting the grass cut and the flower beds weeded pretty darn soon!! We don't expect you to give us daily bulletins but your long (understandable!) absence has had us all worrying about you - and it seems with good reason! You really do deserve a break as this is becoming a long haul. We're all still rooting for you. Love to you and your wonderful wife xxxx

I rarely communicate on this site as I have Polycythaemia - cause unknown - so not many people can relate to my situation. However, I think everyone who follows this wonderful site will be wishing you a speedy recovery; your courage and determination, and that of your wife, is extraordinary. Get well soon, we are al thinking of you. Jackie xxx
