2016 is going to be a very exciting year for MPN Voice.
It has begun with the launch of our wonderful new website, which I hope you have all now have had time to access. Alisia and her team have done a fantastic job!
Please remember to keep checking the website for up-to-date, new off the press information. You will also be able to see what new Fundraising Events are available, as well as hearing about what the wider MPN Voice Community is doing and of course, meeting our MPN Voice Fundraising Heroes.
Another exciting development for MPN Voice fundraising is that we will be working more closely with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity on certain organised events and GSTT have kindly agreed that MPN Voice Fundraisers can join in events organised by them, to fundraise for MPN Voice, this means that we can now offer you places in so many more different events. We will be adding these events to our Events Page mpnvoice.org.uk/get-involve...

March is going to be a very busy month for some of our MPN Voice Fundraisers!!
Cara Martin - Inverness Half Marathon on 13th March
Cara is a regular fundraiser for MPN Voice, she took part in the Scottish 10k last October and has obviously got the ‘running bug’, because she is now going to do the Inverness Half Marathon. Cara has also got her friend Gail and Gail’s 6 year old son Ryan involved, they will be doing the 5k course.
Can you imagine how cold and wet Cara’s training must be, because you have to do some serious training to do a Half Marathon!

Jacqueline and John Graham – Charity Fashion Show 14th March
Jacqueline, who is taking Ruxolitinib to help relieve the symptoms of her Myelofibrosis, is one of the wonderful supporters who volunteered to help proofread the new MPN Voice website.
Jacqueline has attended various MPN Voice Forums all over the country and has found MPN Voice a great source of information and support. Jacqueline and her husband John decided to organise a Charity Fashion Show to help support MPN Voice by raising awareness of our rare blood cancers and help MPN Voice to continue funding research.

Kirstie McClatchey – Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro starting 25th March
Yes you did read correctly, Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro! The world’s highest freestanding mountain, at the summit it is around -20c with the wind chill!
Kirstie is doing this in honour of her father Professor John McClatchey who had Polycythaemia Vera, he very sadly died last year of a heart attack.
Kirstie has set herself this amazing challenge to raise awareness of MPNs and the work MPN Voice does, especially to raise money to continue funding research.
We can’t wait to see the photos and hear all about Kirstie’s fantastic challenge.
