Hello, I was diagnosed with ET in 2006 and then Breast Cancer in 2009. I was wondering if anyone else had a 2nd cancer diagnosis? Thank you.

Hi Amcap, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993, had a relapse in 1994 followed by more radical surgery and have been in remission to date. I have Polycythaemia undetermined cause, identified last year, so not thought to have a true MPD, I am treated with venesections and regular monitoring.

Hi idi75, it's good to not feel like I'm the only one. I'm also in remission but taking tamoxifen for breast cancer and hydroxycarbamide for ET. best wishes Anne

Hi I was diagnosed with et a couple of years ago and breast cancer last September. I also had a mini stroke in Oct so that ruled out any further ops, I had radiotheraphy in December and am taking hormone tablets at the moment. So your not alone :).

Hi josiede, it's good to not feel like the only one. I had chemo and surgery for breast cancer but no radiotherapy and still taking tamoxifen. Also taking hydroxycarbamide for ET. best wishes Anne

I am on anastrozole for breast cancer and before I had radiotheraphy I was on interferon but my platelets have remained stable and in the normal range soI'm only taking baby aspirin at the moment. Josie

Yes, I had bladder cancer and only through and after treating that, it was discovered I had ET Jak 2 positive. Best wishes to you. Tinkerbell

Hi,

ET was my second diagnosis. I had stage 3 breast cancer in 1999. My platelets began climbing around 2008...but I was not diagnosed with ET until 2012.

Hi jakpos, Thanks for replying. Before finding this forum I didn't know anyone else with 2 types of cancer, there seems to be quite a few of us. It's good to not feel like the only one. best wishes Anne
