I'm interested to know whether you let friends and work colleagues know the extent of your migraine attacks, and how debilitating they are? I try not to go into details myself but wondered if this was common with sufferers who have migraine regularly?

Do friends and work colleagues know?
Hi there
I had such a difficult time with my previous employer (see my recent blog) that I haven't told my new employer. I'm able to work with attacks, thanks to aspirin and Eletriptan, and so just continue to work and don't let on.
I'd prefer to do this than face the harrassment that I suffered from my previous employer. I lost a lot of confidence and just want to be treated like a normal person again.
I work for a very small company, so when I worked in the office they knew when I was having an off day and they all knew about my chronic migraine diagnosis. Now that I am working from home only my close friend and old college roommate knows the extent of my bad days. I'm assuming my boss notices the slow down of productivity but they haven't said anything. I think it's important for at least someone at your work to know what you are going through so they can help advocate for you when you are having a very bad day. I know my friend has helped me out in more ways than I can count when I've had to take my lunch break to go lay on the floor and try not to throw up!
