Has anyone here got a oxygen at home for cluster headache attack?
I'm aware that it must be prescribed by GP and training needs to be given etc but the likelihood of that happening is about the same as me travelling to the moon so I wonder if anyone has resorted to the oxygen and mask that you can buy online?
Has anyone experience of using oxygen at all - even for migraines? Did you find any benefit?
Thanks in advance.

Ooh im interested to see if you get any replies to this ! Good luck. Nothings working at all for me . Think my brain needs to be shut down and re booted 🙄
Yes I have. Usually when I arrive in the Emergency Room Oxygen and a dark room help immediately. If oxygen doesn't work they give me a "coctail". Anti-Imflamatory, Anti- nausa, Imitrix and Hydration all given by IV. This decreases the pain a lot, but the migraine doesn't go away completely.
I am now taking Magnesium glycinate 3x a day and Feverfew and Imitrix ( both injection and pill) as needed. I have far less migraines now.
Hi BrychniMy husband gets oxygen delivered to the house, arranged by his GP. He says he could not cope without it. It is NHS funded, don't buy online it won't last long and will cost a lot. Search for OuchUK.org. it is a UK charity which offers lots of help, including letters you can take to GP or work.
If necessary change GP. You deserve help with this awful condition!
