My daughter suffered with migraines too

When my daughter turned 11, she got her cycle and started getting migraines (not always hormonal).

When she was exposed to scents, she would get a horrible migraine and be sent to the nurse's office.

2 years, I gave up dairy and had great success. So, last year, my now 14 year old gave up dairy and she too hasn't had a migraine that requires medication since.

We both still avoid scents, such as perfume and cologne as much as possible, since certain brands still trigger very low level migraines (don't require medication)

glad you have found relief.

Th ere does seem to be an hereditary component to migraines - my grandmother had them, my mother had them and I have them (though getting to the point where the migraines seem to stop (late 50s/60s for both of them. On the other hand my mother's youngest sister only started getting migraines once she got into her 60s.
