Hi Fellow migraineurs, just emerging from 48 hr migraine with headache, vomiting and giddiness. I reckon it was triggered by the excessive heat and wondered have others had the same experience and does anyone have any suggestions for how to keep cool and avoid heat triggered migraine . Katya

I had a migraine every day last week, it's the heat! Thankfully took, a triptan as the first sign and headed them off

Hi Katya3

I have quite a few migraines recently maybe it is partly due to the heat. I drink a lot of cold water and try and stay out of the sun.

I heard you can fill a hot water bottle with cold water and freeze it and take it to bed, I have not tried that.

I'm glad your feeling better now.

Best wishes

I had migraine all week last week and have been feeling so knackered afterwards. Thinking I maybe need to get onto something preventative now..

But just to say I did do the freezing hot water bottle and it definitely helps, you can get more sleep and I was able to go to work but just had to cancel meetings involving tube travel. Plus freeze an ice pack and put it on your back when sitting on the sofa, also lots of cold water on the back of your neck.

Heya, i have one of the cooling towels that you soak in cold water, wring it out and then snap it so that it turns very cold. Wrap it around the back of your neck and it keeps me cool. Also, i have a mini fan that helps.
