"Cough" headache trouble.

Does anyone have experience of the "cough" headache? This is the second time it has occurred. The first time a few years ago I was put on propranolol and took up to 240 mgs settling back at 80mgs to 'cure' it. It took a long time to sort out. Eventually I came off as the headache seemed to have gone. 18 months later it came back and I started propranolol again. Up to 240 mgs again. This time I can't settle at a dose that works so am slowly coming off again. This has taken all year so far to get nowhere. Does anyone have experience of other drugs for this strange condition? Or other ways of helping it. Sometimes I go to an Osteopath to stretch my neck which helps tension although I don't know if that is associated with the cough headache. The GP is a little in the dark here and of course it takes a long time to get back to a Consultant.

The trouble with propranolol at the high dose is I feel quite weak. It drops blood pressure.
