Years ago, yes. I also had neck and spinal problems and chronic fatigue, and sessions of osteopathy/cranial osteopathy/Alexander Technique kept me going (just about) and able to work. However, although it's extremely gentle, there were times when the cranial osteopathy appeared to trigger a really severe migraine/dizziness/vomiting. I'd had a previous head injury which may have had something to do with it, perhaps.

It's probably worth a try. You'd need a few sessions to see if it made a difference.

Thanks Frodo. Glad it helped you. I also have CFS. Think I’ll give it a go.

Me!!! Whilst it hasn't "fixed"/cured it, I have found that Cranial really has made a positive difference to my chronic permanent migraine and it really does help ease it. I initially went once a week and currently seeing her approximately every 2 to 3 weeks, although a friend of mine has moved onto an appointment every 12 weeks as he's getting so much relief with his headache.

My appointments are a mix of back, neck and shoulder massage to start, she then does some neck cracking (which is so amazing) and then moves onto my head which is so relaxing, and also feels comforting, which wasn't something I would have expected. Personally I think Cranial Osteopathy is great and I would definitely recommend giving it a go. Oh and make sure whoever you go to is a member of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)!!!

Thanks Teaweasel, massage sounds great I do hold a lot of tension in my neck & shoulders. I’ll check out the GOsC.

I have had a cranial osteopathy for a year and made no difference. I had just ordinary osteopathy this year and made no difference either. On the migraine summit this year a doctor who spoke about natural therapies suggested that there's no evidence to suggest it works only that the body responds to how 'nice' it feels. That's it. I do feel slightly hesitatant at that tho as he didn't seem to suggest any natural therapy. On the migraine summit they only seem to suggest something that you pay for inc drugs and it makes me feel they are all sponsored by someone. Take that as you wish!
