I thought these notes from his talk were interesting for people to see. He talked about non-medical treatments, a really interesting chat for those of us who don't want to swallow tablets all the time.
Good data to support this.
This is good with an Eastern doctor, not a western one who has recently learned this practice. He does think that thousand of years of this practice has success.
Sceptical. No hard evidence of this and the fad seems to have wained a bit.
No greater benefit than making sure you have a healthy and regular lifestyle as those that do are the ones that do the best.
FL TINTED GLASSES
If you wear these a lot you become MORE light sensitive than less, as proven by data.
FOOD ALLERGY TEST
Data is weak and not the time or money for this.
Each to their own on this one.
Data is mixed and not recommended.
No evidence. Migraneurs DO NOT do well with irregular diet patterns.
Maybe beneficial to your health but sees it as another fad.
GINGER / SAFFRON
Good to invest in.
EPSOM SALTS BATH
Some find it good (no studies on this though).
He is personally wary of them.
Good evidence for general health, but no data evidence for migraines.
A very good track condition app.
Does rate Vit B2, Magnesium, CO Q10 and calcium.
MINDFULNESS / MEDITATION
Finds this a good thing to do. There a well controlled studies to support this.
Says to find a diet you are comfortable with and be consistent with it. Should eat on schedule with not being a grazer. This gives the best benefits.
