Topamax for borderline personality disorder?

Is anyone using topamax for borderline personality disorder and is it helpful, also is it available in th uk through your GP?

Been on it like most people with migraine. Yes from gp in the uk.

There are lots of different opinions on it, works for some peoples migraines and does nothing for others, just like most migraine drugs.

It's a seizure/anti convulsant medication also used for migraine prevention.

Not sure how it would be relevant for a personality disorder? Do you also have migraine?

Topamax as under the name of topiramate I guess !!

I've been on almost half year (50mg twice a day ) only reduce the migraine attack !!and yes it's available in the UK .Only by prescription from GP !!!

Hi, I've been on it a couple of times for migraine and Borderline Personality it had no affect on either. I know it is a relatively old drug and i know doctors got very excited about it when they found it could work on people with BPD but unfortunately I wasn't one of them!
