I really have to concentrate to be able to understand you. You speak very fast. I'm Canadian so that might have something to do with it. Love the graphics!

I think you've oversimplified the cause of migraines. Cause is still unknown and there is evidence against vascular theory. New theory suggests they arise in the CNS. I think a lot of neurologists now think it is probably a combination of the two. So I don't think you can state the cause in your video

A good, 'brief' over-view of migraine (I presume this was what you intended)...agree with some other comments - there was one sentence you said very quickly, which I didn't catch, but the pictures were good, and the 'basic' information good, perhaps for someone 'new' to headaches! (which I'm not!) Thank you :)

Thank you for putting effort to produce this - the video/graphics is great! However, when you speak - you have some accent combined with lack of clarity in some cases and those will put people in trouble to understand what you are actually saying. "Skip their morning coffee" - I could not understand/hear "skip" - just an example. Perhaps consider to slow down a bit in certain areas and it should be great! And I agree that the reasons are over simplified - but it would be useful for many people who do not know much about headache.

I like your video and your presentation, no problem with your speed, however, please please please be sure that you make it clear that a migraine is MUCH more than a 'headache' - as Dr. Oliver Sacks explains in his book, Migraine, they are an electrical storm in the brain that can present as everything from abdominal pain to other diffuse symptoms and at times do not even involve head pain. Thanks for your efforts!

I too suffer from migraines which have changed from the start to now. I had to take ill health retirement due to being unable to work because of a physical problem and rapid increase of migraines. My migraines would start by numbers and writing on the screen starting to move around and go in and out of focus and i could feel my head getting heavy. I would try to shake my head and close my eyes but within 30 seconds it would start again but quicker and then suddenly everything would go black and then just as suddenly i could see again just before my head hit the keyboard. I thought they would stop when i finished work but they haven't and it has almost been 4 years since i finished work. I now get silver flashes when i blink or close my eyes and awfull stabbing pains behind my eyes from side to side. If i don't take sumatriptan quickly enough if feels like my head will explode. I can't lie in a dark quiet room as the flashes just get worse, i put dark sun glasses on and something on the TV that i don't have to concerntrate on and 2 Tramadol if they are due ( for my physical pain) or paracetomol and ibuphopen and hope it will go away but sometimes it will take hours before it does. I've been told they're just headaches and had people state what migraines are so my headaches are just headaches and to take 2 painkillers and just carry on as usual.

Great video! I thought that it was fun and informative.

I also have some concerns about your explanation of the cause of migraines. You're close, but your information is a bit out of date. These days, migraines are attributed to chemical messengers (yes, including the serotonin that you mentioned) in the BRAIN rather than in the blood vessels. What happens in the blood vessels is an effect rather than the cause.

I'm curious to know what you'll do with this video if you're ready to share.

While i enjoyed your video it was rather quick. I too suffer from migraines which have changed from the start to now. I've been told they're just headaches and had people state what migraines are so my headaches are just headaches and to take 2 painkillers and just carry on as usual. I get at least 6 " migraines" a month, they're not headaches and from now on I'll point them towards your video, so thank you.

I just recently developed what has been described by a Neurologist as being migraines. This all started one day after a dental procedure with epinephrine. I do believe that may have caused or possibly contributed to these attacks. They last for a couple of weeks daily on and off every 20 to 30 min. But only lasting for 2 to 5 min. MRI, CT, ENT testings were all normal. I have found that pure garlic clove cut up in my salads or veggies helps to ease the intensity of the pain. Will be starting on Nortryptoline as per Neuro Doc. Just want to be free of these painful and very scary attacks. Good luck to all.
