I don't know the answer I'm afraid but wondered about your symptoms.

Do you have other health issues alongside your migraine?

I hope not.... I have been taking it for 6 months. I have however noticed that there is a worrying amount of hair in my hairbrush recently. I have felt very fatigued on this drug and recently my bones are very painful but I don't know if it's meds or not. Don't see my doctor till May 2017 .

I just always wonder with such frequent migraines. I had a migraine syndrome like this for some time but it was being caused by an underlyibng auto immune disease.

I get a lot of hair loss too. Waiting to see a dermatologist at the moment. Just wondering if your hair loss is being caused by the drug.

Anyone with a migraine syndrome like this should consider other causes. Nothing worked for my migraine in the end except controlling the underlying disease.

If you have issues like ibs symptoms sore joints and fatigue consider another diagnosis. Perhaps see a rheumatologist instead of a neurologist. They were never able to diagnose my problem.

Not easy getting appointments. Rheumatologist waiting lists are over 3 months at least. G.P not very interested .... Just says wait till May...see what migraine specialist says. Have lost faith in G.Ps since my (excellent) one retired 🙁

Yes I know what you mean...health service is getting worse all the time. Some gps are just awful. Go on the list though and wait 3 months. Possibly worth it. X

I have one good gp who is willing to refer. If I were you I would discuss auto immune possibilities with neuro. The can't really diagnose that. If they can't rule it in or out get them to recommend an appointment with a rheumatologist. That will make your gp act. They should not refuse referrals. If it were me I would conplain to practice manager.

Thanks all for mentioning the hair loss. I'm also getting quite a bit more hair coming out than normal in past month. I am taking nortriptyline preventative.
