Gastric bypass

Hi, I’m new, is there anyone here who has had a gastric bypass and suffer from migraines? I did great with a few excedrine when I was younger, it would either get rid of it or take the edge off. Now my migraines are mor symptomatic and I’ve had my gastric bypass so NSAIDS are a big no. The tryptans don’t do a lot for me. I am on Botox that has definitely helped. The only pain medication that was prescribed me was Tylenol 3 that didn’t work well and my HMO treated me like a drug addict. I wondered what pain medication that you have used that worked. I’m not talking preventative, abortives I’m talking in the midst pain killers.

Hi there I'm so sorry you suffer with this infliction on top of other health issues.

There are a few suppliments people use that help as preventative, read through the posts.

Me, well I found immigran injections a better Triptan when I was at my worst along with naproxen but their not good for gastric issues.

I was treated for chronic migraine for yrs and had every single treatment out there. Eventually I got a proper diagnosis and BOTOX is my savoir.

Mirtazipine 7.5 every night help me sleep and helps prevent serious attacks and a surprise was that they stopped my night flushes.
