Hi! I was diagnosed 7 years ago with generalised MG. After Christmas I cut out sugar and alcohol and I've noticed a big difference but I'm still struggling to lose weight (thanks to steroids) Any tips would be fab! Thank you x

Thanks that is interesting. I don't drink much anyway but have a very sweet tooth so that will be difficult. I was fine for about 2 years, back on the tennis court, but am having a big Blip. Rest, rest, rest seems to be the remedy. I was down from 45mg of steroids to 3mg alternate days and my weight went down but am now going up again to 7mg a day and the weight creeping back..Annette

It's so frustrating isn't it? I'm on 10/15mg steroids alternating every day. I was on 90mg when I was at my worst. I think patience is a big thing but it's hard. I'm going to try and cut down on gluten too. I'll try anything! Much love x

I had a big Dip recently and could barely walk but was given an IVIG (I think it is called) plasma DRIP over 3 days and it has had a miraculous effect just starting very gently back on the tennis court. Back on 10mg steroids a day so put on 8lbs immediately and can't stop eating but feeling pretty well. Annette

I've been on 25 mg since December and boy has my face puffed up. I was on 10 for a long time with no real noticeable results, but this has made a difference. Hoping to come down soon. I feel for you.
