Hello friend, I am sorry for your loss. She is in a happier place now. She may have moved on but she continues to live in your memories.

Hello Mia

Sorry for your loss, Dementia is a very hard way to loose someone closs to us. I went through the same problem, however I had the privilidge of looking after my Aunt who had a brilliant mind before she became so very ill.

Regards not allowing any of Her Clothing, was that something to do with Covid ? If that was the case that is no consolation to you. In our case we were not allowed to take anything from the estate, in the end when things were sorted there had been ornaments left that were found by the new owners and I could not find any reason to pick them up

I found in the final years I learned a great deal about my past family members and it became a privilidge to be there at the end of Her Life.

Hopefully you will have those memories and interraction of past friends and Relatives

Hello Mia

I had been thinking about property in Nursing Homes.

When my Aunt died they prevented me taking my Aunts property away.

One of the things they kept was a television set, I never took Her Clothes, the Council was dealing with the actual Estate and were selling the contents of the house as all had been sold to pay for treatment. At the time I was going through a bad time because my family were not happy with me dealing with my Aunts Representations so I was happy to let them get on with it.

I cannot really say that things went missing ??!! Although my only interest was my Aunt. They could not find a will either although I knew there was one. So my Aunts wishes were not followed.

That is all I can say about the situation, although Charles Dickens comes to mind

I have no idea, when Her Brother died I was given some of his items like a small television. He had been initially hospitalised so I had nothing really to do with that as my Aunt was still alive. So we have not botherd
