hi I think the lockdown can be challenging for all of us finding this to do.working from home will take your mind off the lockdown for a few hours I would rather work from home than no work at all.its the mindset of the situation but once you get in a few days then hopefully you will get used to it.

Thank you for your reply. I shall try again today and hopefully not get too frustrated as I did yesterday

It is hard. I'm keeping my same schedule at home and set my home office to be similar to work. Listening to music has helped.

When I get stuck in a rut, I start organizing stuff and that sometimes helps.

if you are depressed then one thing to remember is that this can flip the relation between motivation and doing so you actually have to start doing something before you feel the motivation to carry on with it.

There are lots of tips out there on remote working - a good starting point is to try not to change the routine associated with work any more than is absolutely necessary. Dress as if you are going to work - set up an office area - start work when you would normally start work.

Personally I know its not easy when routines go totally out of the window. I'm trying to build up a new routine. I don't think it is necessarily about having barriers (mental or physical) that separate work from other stuff - more about having a balance between the two that works for you.

Thanks for the reply. I sorted it out with my manager to reduce my hours whilst at home.

I suppose people have more distractions when working at home, you need to be able to make the room not available to family members and arrange your desk like how it is at work.

As said above follow the timetables of the Office so things are resembling a routine of work.place. If needed to distract from family actions listen to music and set down rules that you are unavailable during office hours
