My Dad was alcoholic and barely survived it - his story is that some religious people took him in when he went abroad and he got over it. But it is so hard for someone even seeking help. It was only with help from others, he got through it

💯 percent dearest that’s just how it goes, because once addiction has defeated us we would need something stronger that it to counter it’s hold to maintain a life without it
