Hiya here! I am new on this app and joined as I am very home based and suffer from generalized anxiety and panic disorder and bipolar 2 and PTSD. I am currently unmedicated as I am residing out of country and no insurance or way to receive mental health help. The anxiety seems to be winning lately as the disorder that really plays on me and take over the most. Any suggestions to natural anti anxiety boosters -I eat well and cut back on caffeine and only let people in my life now that are not toxic. Toxic relationships give the ptsd the big hello and amp the anxiety trillions. So I do try to keep low key and home (too much) and keep my energy from rising out the roof feeling. But I want for the day when I can be back out and be my social butterfly self. 🐛=🦋

Welcome to this site, you will gain hopefully gain ideas and support from Members

In the first place you could try Mindfulness, Relaxation Technique, books on this can be found on Amazon.

One of the other ways to help is hobbies and Diversions, this can help you gain a more positive mood. However medications and a treatment regime are the best way forward and if you are unable to afford Insurance, you need to consider ways of getting treatment. Sometimes a travel insurance may not cover mental health treatment so registration in the Health Service of the country you now live would generally be the best way forward.

If you are in the UK or EU, There were forms you could have obtained from the Department of Health, however I do not know what the situation is now since the UK left the EEC.

Are you British, country of origin, most countries have different agreements and the need to research that may be needed.

Can you not attend your family Doctor at home ?

Thank you for the tips and I have actually not tried mindfulness techniques but journal my feelings and try to gain insight on my triggers. I am in Canada and had private insurance since not a citizen but am currently going through a separation after 16 years of marriage and having to wait for my status change to get back to full healthcare support. I have a friend that’s an obstetrician and looking to her currently as she is very thorough and treats patients high risk =so she has dealt with mental health. I took up nature photography and that helps so much. It gets extra cold here these months. Lol! I also find gardening and nature in general, a healing soothing place for me. I appreciate you taking time to show support and welcome me.

Keep on with your hobbies and activities, they will help you with your mood as you are able to divert any negative thoughts you may have, If you enjoy something it is possible to forget your concerns, even for that short period of time you will most probably start to relax.

I agree with Bob. Plus you may want to look online for an online CBT course. There are mindfulness apps too for the smartphone.
