Went to my interview which ended up being in a different city to where I thought, had a meltdown when I found out this! I failed it as couldn't put on blusher & highlighter, this caused my anxiety to hit the roof

Sorry it seems the job was not right for you. When we are Anxious we start to panic and find we have problems functioning.

When it comes to makeup could you not attended without putting on your face. In a way I am the same, I have a partial Denture and I wear it when going out, I get anxious and forget to put the thing in, or I have problems placing it in my mouth, so I go around with a gummy grin.

Try not to worry, we learn from experience that is part of life, Being self critical is just a waste of time

This was part of the interview upstairs before going downstairs as it was included in the practical part of the interview, I have never put it on @ home, so watched what the others did & tried to copy them, but failed as couldn't grip it right nor get the pressure right

Practice makes perfect, be kind to yourself, it is always best to gain confidence at home doing things you are not proficient in, we all seem to get upset and just make a mess.

Thanks, I now know that I ain't suited to beauty type jobs, but whether I'm gonna be able to work or it's gonna be restricted will be decided next Fri plus my husband is now my carer

I used to go out with someone who would go in various beauty shops where they would get made up for special events, it may be an idea to learn how to relax and apply your makeup.

Thanks, I just don't use blusher or highlighter & never will as can't really see the point in them. I do an OK job putting my makeup on, but know it's never gonna be good enough to be shop standards
