Life with epilepsy

Hi I'm stephen 44 from leeds,13 years ago I was told I had epilepsy and it has just got worse to the point now I have 24 hour carers looking after me I have no freedom anymore,I know I need them because of this vns implant I was giving as I can die at any time having a fit,i need release

Can your Carer not arrange a trip out, just in the garden or where you are or are you caught up in Bed ? Or is your condition making you Agoraphobic

Hello Stephen from leeds.What type if any distraction techniques do u have in ur life? I have Dystonia,which I get Dystonia storms which leaves me trapped in my body unable to use my limbs,speak n etc.Ive found distraction really helps me mentally n also physically,especially when others r around n I want "My time".

I just use my tv and my balcony as an escape its lovely on my balcony it's a place were people are sent to die

Oh my friend,maybe the balcony not the best place BUT there r other options for distraction,trust me on this one.When ur trapped in ur body n u have tons of time on ur hands u think up tons of stuff to distract urself when u r up n atom again.

Do you read - do they bring you books or you could do online courses. It very difficult thing to think of things you can do at home but with help much can be achieved.

I get lost in a world of virgin tv half the time after 9 years of waiting to die I have learned to switch of when I need to mate
