A traumatic event yesterday ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Tuesday there was a world war II exhibit at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT that my Grandpa attended. He took pictures with it and was so excited! Im sure many of you saw it in the news yesterday (next day) that about 13 people went up in the plane and it crashed. 7 people died, 6 in the hospital plus bystanders injured or killed. (This may be updated and different today) This airport is close to my house. It is affecting me in many ways. Im also sad for the loss my grandfather is feeling. He is a world war II veteran and this was the last flyable plane. Ofcourse it scares me more to think of the families affected by this tramatic event. Tragadies happen every day. We never know when its going to happen. Thats why this past year Ive made an effort to get help and live life to the fullest. When tramatic events happen my anxiety makes me sick. But life is unpredictable. And I may always be this way. I cant change how sensitive I am.

You are lucky! Make use of your time to bond as well as you can. The tragedy shows that life is fragile and you never know what's around the corner! Have a blessed day!

What a tragedy. I did read about this. You are so right, life is unpredictable

I envy your close relationship with your grandpa.

For that to end so tragically is just a sad sad thing.

๐Ÿ™ to the families of those who died and ๐Ÿ™ for those who are still fighting for their lives.

Sensitivity is not something you need to feel sorry about. Certainly anxiety gets kicked up during traumatic events such as this. Let those feelings out, don't hold them in.

Life truly is a precious gift.

Iโ€™m sorry for your communityโ€™s traumatic experience. Something like that always make me think of a Star Wars quote. Something about feeling the interruption in the โ€œForce.โ€

My dad was in WWII and landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. At 18 years old! Our military folk come back from war with so many internal and external scars, that I would imagine that this tragedy hit veterans in a way that you or I canโ€™t fathom.

Be there for him. Itโ€™s great you have a good relationship.

My prayers go out for everyone involved. Lynne

Thank you so much for your words. It truly breaks my heart. My little brother is following in his foot steps and is in the army national guard. ๐Ÿ’” when we love & care so hard the pain is deep when horrible things happen.

Yes but the absence of having love is more painful than losing love.

Sad to say life is full of dangers and we never know when we are going to be called to move through the veil of death.

Life is a transient situation we all find ourselves in, we never know when or how we are going to be called. Their is nothing that can be done, given that we have to wait and hope our taking over will be short and sweet, where we do not suffer. Life is an education situation, we can and sometimes be sad at a loss, there is very little we can do for those who proceed before our calling. It is never easy we all need to move on especially when and if we do not know those who have moved on before us.

We live our lives, also sometimes take risks that is also part of life. Live for the day, Our Lord will decide when and how we leave this world
