20mg fluoxetine not working so put up to 30mg

Basically what happened was I was on 20mg and I was fine.. then I got a sickness bug and it caused my antidepressants to basically stop working .. I feel so awful the anxiety is absolutely insane my heart constantly feels like it’s going to come out my chest and I’m sick depressed and miserable

The doctor put me on 30mg but I’m just scared it won’t work .. any one had experiences like this?

I am not a lover of meds having had a series of problems caused by the side effects of many different ones .. There are many coping strategies for Anxiety and there is also an Depression and Anxiety site on here did you know ?

If your GP has increased the dose of your medication He must feel you are run down after your illness and that has made you more Anxious,, hopefully your GP will eventually reduce the dose back down to original dose again when you are not as sensitized to your Past illness

Consider trying Mindfulness the Relaxation Technique, that may call your Anxiety.
