Why the f*** aren’t GP’s prescribing Lyrica for anxiety? Oh, I know why, it costs too much.
Seriously though, I’m new here and I’m horrified at the amount of folk suffering from anxiety when there is help. Do all you can to get your GP to prescribe Lyrica. It has helped me and my son no end, far better than addicting benzodiazepines.
Mental Health is the poor relation within the NHS. Many treatments can take intensive periods of treatment if you are admitted to hospital or go for CBT, When you consider a course of CBT may last upwards twelve weeks that can be ten hours of talking out problems.
In the Budget last week they have increased available resources in the treatment of various types of Mental Health. That is why people having CBT or similar should try and help themselves and act upon directions given.
