Call me franxine. Though thats not my real name. From Philippines. Im a 16 years old teenager. I still consider to not consult to a doctor because i know they're not going to take this seriously. Yes, i do have friends but most of them don't have alot of time. My parents are separated. Im so stressed out that most of the time, i feel nothing. Just nothing. Just starring blankly to the walls. No emotions. Im depressed because of my parents. I feel like im such a burden because they always let me feel that way. Im so depressed i can't even describe what im depressed at because there is alot of factors i dont know which one to say. I do not consult this to anyone cause i know i'll be so called "drama queen" or "crybaby",or attention seeker. I hope attention is enough tho. But it isnt that simple. I really hope someone can help me. I feel like im drowning on my own blood now.

Hi how do you know your doctors won't believe you or others will call you a cry baby or drama queen? You can only know this if you are a mind reader! Can you tell your parents how you are feeling and ask them for help?

Try the doctors anyway as you have nothing to lose. x

Your mental pain is real and important. Is there anyone you can ask to help such as a school or college counsellor? I would seek someone out; I don't know if you trust your doctor but if you do you could tell your doctor or maybe just confide in someone that you trust. I truly wish you the help that you deserve. xx

Sweetheart, if I were your GP and you came and told me that, I would prescribe you antidepressants. I've been on low dose prozac which doesn't have the full whizz-bang dramatic hyper-effect of a larger dose, but helps gradually. I think this is what you need to start seeing things clearer and better and once your mood and depression improves you can get out more and feel better. It seems you are all stuck in a rut and you can try and change things slowly. I am sure you parents don't really mean what they say, they may be depressed as well. We all get stuck in a rut sometimes. A break or holiday helped our family get back on track after a bereavement and anger about the situation. I think you all need a change of scene, even if you can just go away to stay with someone else for a night or two may help. Go for it! you are priceless and deserve a great life. x
