Understanding My Life
What screws us up most in life is the picture in our head of how it is supposed to be. Life is so ironic, it takes sadness to know what happiness is, noise to appreciate silence and absence to value presence.
Don’t underestimate me. I know more than I say, think more than I speak and notice more than you realize. I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they are right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together.
In my life, I’ve lived, I’ve loved, I’ve lost, I’ve missed, I’ve hurt, I’ve trusted, I’ve made mistakes, but most of all, I’ve learned.
Life is going to get hard sometimes. So get the.... up and get your .... together. You are either an ocean or a puddle. Don’t be a puddle. People walk through puddles like they are nothing. Oceans .... destroy cities. You don’t always need a plan, sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens.
Sometimes you just need to go off the grid and get your soul right. Without rain nothing grows, learn to embrace the storm of your life. No Rain, No Flowers.
My Photograph
A photograph is the pause button of life. Sometimes we cannot let go of memories, because they are constant reminders of a great story that we never expected to end.
Some memories never leave your bones. Like salt in a sea, they become part of you and you carry them. This is what I like about photographs. They are proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect.
The only reason people hold on to memories so tight is because memories are the only things that don’t change when everything else does. When someone you love becomes a memory… that memory becomes s treasure.
