Iam alone.

I don't have friends I have some colleagues, iam in faculty of art, my major is sculpt, and I am very passionate about, so all I do in my life is collage projects, I feel as iam in a big isolation, I go to college so I do my work and stay in atelier , maybe I would deal with people there, but then I return to my home and repeat that everyday, some start to treat me very superficially, and I don't know why, I know iam very shy and have a lil confidence so it's hard to do some friends that would be close or something but I wish I could do, and I really don't know hot to get over my shyness or my fear of people and rejected and now I started to run as I always do, run like I stopped care about dealing with my.problems. to fix it no I tell myself it's okay to be alone you don't have to get over your fear but I don't want that I want to face my problem.and fix it

I'm so sorry you feel alone. It can be so hard to feel isolated, and also so hard to force yourself to go and meet people.Could you go to a movie, or an art gallery by yourself? It may be a good way to get out among people without the pressure of feeling you have to make conversation?

Hi there I don’t know where you live but in the UK there are support groups for people who feel socially anxious and are isolated. I can really understand your predicament in wanting to change and not wanting to change. I’ve been there myself. Don’t give up you will find a way through if you keep looking and trying to move forward. You deserve more in your life and you will get there eventually. Everyone can identify with shyness and loneliness so you’re not alone.

I wish you the very best !!

Alassa there is nothing wrong with continuing ‘trying’ I suppose that is what being alive is about. You may be similar to me and have shyness as part of who you are. In some situations I still struggle with shyness but by continuing to try I now have people in my life who I am comfortable with and can be myself with. When you talk about change it is sometimes the outside that must change before the inside can change. Perhaps when you have a couple of people around you then life won’t seem quite so difficult. If you are passionate about your art then try to find a few people who share that passion. That could be your way into finding a little social circle. You may be more sensitive than others which at first feels like a curse but is also a blessing as you may bring your sensitive nature to your artwork. Remember many great talents were different to the masses and that’s what set them apart. Try not to beat yourself up for being shy, some people find it very endearing.

I wish you all the best.

Paul

Hi Alaasalahmohamed, as hopeful_7 has posted, I do not know where you live, but in the UK there are support groups to help people who feel socially anxious and who are isolated. I have researched a few websites that I hope you will find useful. Also, your college/university may have a counselling service that would be able to help you. It may be an idea to talk to one of your course tutors about how you are feeling. Your art work seems to give you a lot of confidence so try to build on this. Would it be possible to display some

of your work at an art exhibition with the help of your tutor? You will find a way forward from this and please be reassured that you are not alone It would be lovely to see a photograph of your art work on the forum. I am sure other members would like to see this, also. Here are the website addresses--

MOODJUICE-Shyness and Social Anxiety Self Help Guide

moodjuice.scot.nhs/shynesss... They produce a good booklet which outlines skills to cope with this and help and support available.

Mind, the mental health charity

mind.org.uk/information-sup...

supportline.org.uk/problems...

AnxietyUK anxietyuk.org.uk/.

Please stay on this caring forum where you will be supported by other members who understand how you are feeling. Take care and best wishes.

I’m sorry you feel like like that. I sometimes have these feelings. Try to find support groups near where you live. This site is always helpful with kind and caring people always available to listen and advice xx

Try doing things you love by yourself... use this time to get to know you and work on yourself that’s what I did x

Try new places and things by yourself and hopefully you make friends through that x

Take care I hope you feel better today 💕

I am curious about how you get through art classes. I'm not sure if you are a teacher or a student, but either way you would have to speak to your subject explain your intent and answer any criticism . Usually that is where you find your friends with like minded people. Art classes can be the toughest because you are always questioned and must defend your choices. Pam
