Hi Sarah,

Whats happening right now? Are you in a safe place? what are you doing? Are you alone? what exactly do you mean by "something stupid" (it can mean so many different things)? If you can put it into words, we can help you! We hear you! We are here! We want you to be safe right now! Tell us first before you make any more decisions. You are not yourself and the decisions you make are coming from a dark place. We are here to help you and listen. Give us a chance first!

Hi Sarah, I hope you have managed to turn your feelings around by chatting to a friend of family member on the phone? Or even call the Samaritans on 0191 384 2727 if you can’t get through to anyone else. Doing something you enjoy can help? For me watching Friends or going for a run helps! There are people here to listen if you want to discuss anything xxx

You have changed your picture from a strawberry to a butterfly.

I feel like this at least one day a week and a bit inbetween. I started keeping a writing pad by my side about six weeks ago and it has helped. It is for my eyes only. I wrote down everything that popped into my head and everything I did along with times of the day.

i.e "Its Thursday 9.15am had toast just had no appetite for anything else, how am I gonna get through today without shutting it out with sleep. The sun is shining outside I wish it was snowing then I would not feel so bad about staying isolated. I am nice and warm and safe. "

Its for your eyes only so it does not matter what you say. When I filled my pad up some 4 weeks later I decided to read it. The writing showed when I was at my worst and it made me mindful of my situation and you begin to draw your own conclusions.

Hope this helps and hope you give the journal a try and anyone else who is reading this!

Mags xx

Just realised as I have just joined this forum sarah, that a picture has already been allocated to you when you join (I suppose unless you change it yourself I guess).

Thus ignore my first sentence of my last post i.e. You were a strawberry now you are a butterfly. Ha ha . I am the butterfly apparently. That is quite apt looking on the funny side of coincidence! magsxx

Hi Sarah 😊 another Sarah here. I really understand how you are feeling. Sometimes you feel so alone.....but please, please remember that just around the corner is change. Life is constantly changing we just need to force ourselves to see it. When I've had really dark days I make myself write 3 things that made me smile that day before I go to bed; it can be the simplest of things - an excellent tasting cup of tea, perfect temperature and sweetness; a smile from a stranger; sheep in a field; I could go on but I hope you get my drift. This helps to flip my thinking switch from negative to positive. Another thing I do is read the Desiderata - it's beautiful and puts life back into perspective. Keep strong flower xx
