Hi Krosemc,
Antidepressants aren't addictive in the same way substances like alcohol and heroin are. Those abusing antidepressants do not experience the cravings that other drugs cause.
People who suddenly stop taking antidepressants often have withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, flu like symptoms, ringing in the ears and depression. This occurs as the body gets used to changes in the level of the drug circulating around it.
The symptoms can be reduced by tapering /gradual reduction of the doses under the supervision of a medical practitioner.
