“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”— Steve Kloves (otherwise known as Albus Dumbledore)

This presupposes of course that you can

A find the switch

And

B have the energy to flick it

But even a little light in a dark corner can help.

Right

Hi Dee how's tricks today? We have sunshine here.may its rays warm your whiskers. And lessen pain levels. It's hard to keep spirits up wine pain and energy levels are crushing from all sides.

I have been touching base with some of your old posts, and you mention breathing and feeling your not getting enough oxygen.

When my battery is totally flat and I am aware that suddenly every breath is a huge effort for the lungs to expand the chest. It's not that I feel I lack oxygen just I haven't got the wherewithal to breath. Did you ever resolve your problem?

May some happies fall into your life today.

Hi Nedd. Thanks for taking time to care.

The breathing issue was in relation to Fentanyl which I took for a brief , nightmarish 3 months last year. Horrible medication for me.

Breathing properly is so important for both pain control and general health but when the pain overwhelms ..... well you know how it is.

For me it's the un predictablity of my pain that does for me. I never know what I am going to face when I get up. The jolt from sleep to reality can be very harsh. One day I can walk a mile without too much pain, the next just moving round the house is too much.

Hi Dee

Thanks for the up date. I agree that moment realty hits from sleep to the new day can wind you before you have moved. My first thought often Is.

Oh gawd not another day.

And I'm sure like me you think.

I simply have not got the engery to do this!

For me pain levels bounce between gruelling and head banging. Depending on what I have done the day before. Morning noon and night. Oh and let's not forget those early hours. I have even tried doing bugger all for a week.

You give up so much that is you trying and failing to tame the beast. Even watching telly is uncomfortable.

But on the upside it's my upper back and neck so the only thing regulates walking (which I find a therapy) is energy levels. And hills! Man about the house does the hoovering which aggravates the nerves. And I have just started driving short distances. Man in a Tesco van is marvellous. And I have loads of caterpillars in the garden to practice my mindfulness by just watching the small things.

I grow nasturtiums just for.them.

Small grey foundling cat provides much comfort and laughs.

May you find something to laugh at today. We need our fix of humour. I often think like is someone's joke.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Thanks for the snapshot of your life. Lover of caterpillars ? Afraid I am a squasher of butterfly eggs ( when on my broccoli). Don't hold it against me.
