Are there any fellow self harmers on here?

Hi SadSheep I can't help as I am not a self harmer, but I do know there are some on here who are. I am sure some of them will be in soon to chat to you.

The site can be quiet at weekends but will pick up latter. Hope you are ok in the meantime x

I cut too. The last time was a couple of days ago. I struggle to go more than a month without doing it.

I burn my arms with cigarettes, I get this urge to do it and I do.

Hi. I'm a cutter. It's so hard resisting the urge.

It is, and the more you feed into the urge the harder the urge hits you.

Also after a while the cutting starts to lose effect and the urge to cut deeper creeps in because how it was done before does not feed into that urge anymore(thats how i feel personally)

Keeping sharp objectsts(blades etc) out of sight slightly helps as well as keeping your mind occupied.

Its when your mind has time to wonder that the urge feels even stronger.

I used to self harm when my depression was unbearable. Now I have a ton of small scars all over my left arm and right leg. Most of them are all healed white now because it's been a while though.

Hi. Thanks for your reply to my post. If you don't mind me asking, how do you feel about your scars? I get a kick out of seeing mine. Strange, huh?

I guess everyone has their own form of satisfaction from self harm, personally i feel scars are annoying in summer because trying to hide them is a torture in that you have to wear long sleeves in a hot enviroment.

Scars are annoying in general in work i am required to wear a shirt so have to wear a long sleeve thermal top under my shirt to hide my arms from old cuts and new.

Main reason being i would hate people looking, hate people asking, and it would just bug me out if they did either of those.

When i cut i strangely like to watch the blood running i even do it in a certain way everytime, otherwise.i dont get that feeling off relief.

Think its going on 3 weeks since i last cut though so going well.

I once pulled all my hair out with a pair of tweezers and i sit in a scalding hot bath all the time but it doesnt hurt. I don't know whether this is self but I'm starting to think that it might be. Im totally in a daze when I do these things like I'm watching my life go by but I'm not actually here
