Mental Health is such a complex illness and many GPs may not have that interest in General Practice. You could look on NHS CHOICES internet Site and look up your Practice. It can inform on which GP has mental Health as their main interest. Take a look and go to that Partner. Make your Appointment possibly a double one. Take a list of your Concerns and Fears, your list will make the appointment more beneficial because you will not miss anything out. Good Luck.

That sounds unnecessarily mean to me, are you being mean? Pam
You could try and address your problems in various self help ways.
Look back at your past when your troubles started, look at each problem in an individual basis, make each concern a separate concern to deal with. Split each problem into small pieces in each case. Take each bite and address that part concern. When you get stuck visit he next problem and do the same thing, you will find as you address each small bite the problems become less and less, you will encourage yourself to move on and you will feel much more positive in your lifetime. After you have sorted out your concerns, never look to the past, just the present and future plans. What has passed has gone you will become stronger in your outlook and hopefully a new situation will increase your future outlook
You can also try MINDFULNESS a Relaxation Technique, this consists of certain exercises and will help you relax and move on.
Breathing Exercises can also help, their control will help you when something like Anxiety comes along in your Mental Health Illness.
You will find all above may help, remembering we are all individuals, different Folks different strokes comes to mind.
