It may be your muscles going into spasms

You always make things worse by using negative adjectives. Far better to just say pain rather than horrible pain. You can then better let it pass and just observe it rather than get involved with it and let it mess with your brain to feel bad

Either you have been in a draft or could it be your mattress needs renewing of were you sleeping in an uncomfortable position.

Our beds are one of the most import bits of furniture in our home. We can spend upward of a third of our time in it. They can cause some real problems with posture and the mattress needs changing every ten years or so.

Just a suggestion

Hi Phil, I get leg pain from my ankle to my knee when anxiety / panic attack comes on. Your senses become heightened and make it feel worse than it really is.. I try moving around a bit or try to distract myself and sometimes this works . When it doesn't work I just try to lay still and let it go away ... at the time it feels rotten for sure .... I am also trying mood sounds of the internet listening to rain or calm person talking smoothly or waves to distract my thoughts and hopefully take my mind of pain

Hi Phil. I'm in agreement with Satsuma. I think your muscles are spasiming. Does ot eventually go away?

I have a similar problem. My left arm in particular feels like it's in a vice. My throat feels like someone is pressing hard into it using their thumb. My chest is extremely tight. I also get a bad headache. I think it might be telated to high blood pressure, not sure. All I know is that it's excruciating while it lasts. I've noticed it happens when I'm stressed/anxious. Frightens the heck out me. I wish it would stop coz it seriously hurts.

But anyway, if it continues, see you GP for professional clafication.

Best wishes.
