Groin Pain

Hi

So for the past few months I have had a pain in my groin on the right side that feels like a twinge every so often. This pain occasionally radiates as a dull ache to my lower back or even hips and on a rare occasion can be felt on the other side of the groin.

I have been to see my GP and had a physical examination but she was not able to tell me what it could be and just said some people just have pain and said to take painkillers.

Anyone else experienced this or has a possible idea of what it could be?

I can’t be allot of help on the issue other than saying, “some people just have pain” seems like a poor effort from the doctor, I’d definitely be seeking additional opinions

I have to agree with Newbenni on this one. You are young with undiagnosed pain. Ask for a hospital referral. And make sure you get the doctor to document your reasons for this. BW.

Usually the appendix on the right if you get some dull aches, it’s called grumbling appendix. If it gets worse go straight back to doctors as that can be serious if they burst. Most of the time they settle down but just keep an eye on it.

Did the doctor examine your lymph node to see if it is swollen? The one on the iliac crest on the right side?

My thinking here is you shouldve gotten an ultrasound. Could be about anything. Hernia, varicocles, pulled muscle and etc.

I had similar problem many years back. Like you no real explanation was given but it went away when I changed jobs !Previous job included lifting, nothing heavy, and twisting ?
