Vaccines and trying for a baby

Hi,

Can any vaccine (if man receives it) cause some defects in the fetus? The vaccine can cause infertility, but if conception occurs, can it have any negative consequences for the baby?

Thank you.

Covid vaccines do not affect fertility.

Even pregnant women are not advised to not have vaccine.

Thank you for your reply. I was actually wondering whether we should postpone trying for a baby for a couple of months after receiving the vaccine? Or vaccine (not just this one), if the man gets it, cannot affect the fetus? I know that there are some vaccines that if a woman gets it, it is recommended that she wait for some time (a couple of months) before getting pregnant. So I was wondering if something similar holds for man as well.

I have certainly not heard of that. Perhaps you need to consult a doctor or pharmacist.
