I take mine in the morning. I kept forgetting to take it when I tried taking it in the evening in an attempt to lessen the dizziness. This didn’t work anyway as it is a modified release formulation, so technically it does not matter what time of the day you take it - as long as it is the same time each day.

I was told to take In the morning. Unfortunately I had a bad reaction to Tamsulosin, extreme dizzy spells, so had to stop taking. Still waiting the speak to someone about an alternative.

I was told the dizziness would be temporary, a couple of days at the most. It isn’t.

I find I get better results taking tamsulosin in the early evening. I tried it in the morning for a few weeks after my brachytherapy, but that wasn't working for me. Now I take one tablet around 6:30 pm and I only get up once in the night. Good luck!

For what it's worth, I took my Tamsulosin in the morning, along with my other medications.

I am in between my two treatments of high dose brachytherapy. They are 2 weeks apart. My doctor told me to take it before going to bed, so once a day. Flow is o.k. during the day but frequent nighttime visits.

Have been on Tamsulosin since quite a while now. Was told to take it at night just after dinner. So even though it's a prolonged suspension , its effects start after taking it so it's always best in my opinion to take this class of drugs after dinner just before you sleep so that you don't become hypotensive. I would say go with your doc but otherwise if told to take it anytime I would suggest nightime after dinner or just before you sleep . All the best !

I'm on it for urine retention / kidney stones so I have to take it in the morning. I agree with the comments that it does make you dizzy if you stand up too quickly which is something I am learning to deal with. Also being a man in his late 30's the side affect of retrograde ejactulation is not ideal but it beats having a catheter placed every year or so.

I find it does work very well and can see a vast improvment in my urine flow. Also without being crude at all I have noticed that my penis appears to be larger than usual which I'm guessing is due to my urethra being open and relaxed due to the meds.

I agree it does markedly improve urine flow. The dizziness and retrograde are irksome.

And yes, I noticed a difference in size too.
