Blood in poop

I woke up and I had blood in my stool it was one red dot bright red. And I don’t know if this is a concern but there’s a faded line with my otherwise brown poop. Is it something to worry about? I’ve been stressed out all day

If this is the only occasion that you have had blood in your poop then there is probably nothing to worry about, but if it continues then you most definitely need to consult your GP. It may be from a hemorhoid, or can be a sign of bowel cancer; or at least a pre-cancerous polyp (which is what I had). The earlier a problem is detected, the sooner it can be resolved and the easier it is to do so. Waiting too long only lets things get worse.

I am 22 years old btw. Should I worry about cancer ?

Whilst cancers are most likely in older people, there is always the possibility for younger folk. It's always better to be cautious and seek medical advice than to risk something serious.

However, see if the problem continues as you shouldn't have to worry at all if it doesn't.

Just go to see your doctor. It could be absolutely nothing but it's better to get it checked out. Don't sit around guessing and worrying, and definitely don't go online trying to diagnose yourself, by the end of the night you'll have ten minutes to live!!

Does it feel like your passing glass when you empty your stools that was my symtoms when I had hamorrids,put your mind at rest see a Gp

You'll be fine fresh red blood is usually from small cut from passing stool or hemorrhoids Bowel cancer or anything more serious stools would be black (old blood)

Do speak to your GP though

If its bright red usually nothing a tear or fissure or pile but if it continues then just go doctor usually if its dark red though deffo get to the doctors.
