Day 18 Post Circumcision

It's day 18 and I'm feeling so much better especially after the doctor's review today.

The recovery thus far has been awful and depressing at times. Though, I am truly grateful for this forum which really helped me!

In terms of healing, well, it still has a long way to go.. but i think the worst is behind and its only going to get better from here.

So far the erection pains have subsided. However, the swelling is still present, am still unable to pee normally (still sprays) and some occasional bleeding. The doc has assured me that these should subside over the next 1 to 2 weeks.

Just got to remind myself to be patient and let it heal in its own time.

Hi mate I got mine done on Tuesday and I’m worried mines gone funny it’s gine so red and swollen ? I dunno if this is normal or if yours went like this after the first couple of days ???

Hi Chris, I believe that's normal for the first few days. Don't worry too much. If you'd like to put your mind at ease, it's best to see your GP to be assured that it's healing well. The first few days are awful, it gets better from week to week. Try to keep yourself occupied, it helps!

Hi mate yeah just got back from doctors he said it’s 99% NOT infected and thinks it’s just the swelling from the pre op

I saw your posts/pics. I too felt that it was infected many times but it wasn't. I totally understand how you feel. Felt the same on the first two weeks and it seemed as though it was never coming to an end (cried a few times too) as it looked awful and it was extremely stressful worrying for infections etc. Stay calm, it does get better over a few days and you will also get use to the discomfort.

On day 12 and still getting woken up by painful boners but most worrying is the ballooning of shaft by frenulum. Did you have this?

I don't recall having any ballooning, you might want to get it checked just to be safe. For the boners, try peeing before you sleep and wake up a few times to pee during sleep - that helped me. Don't worry, it goes away after some time.

Got an appointment with the doctor in an hour but I'm seriously worried about the ballooning beneath, doesn't seem to happen to many people. So worried.

Confused - just saw the surgeon who carried it out and he said there's no infection and I'm healing normally. Guess it puts my mind at ease but I swear this swelling doesn't look normal compared to majority of people I've seen at day 11. Thanks for the reply man.

Wass your frenulum cut long ways and stitched ? If so, that ballooning that you have on the dorsal side is from the odema that is situated just underthe frenulum area to biotically take care of it. Since they do say that the frenulum takes the longesto heal, is associated with why the odema swelling in that spot is needed that much longer than if your swelling was located under your shaft skin on your penis somewhere else.

Under my frenulum, I have that swelling of odema, and need ebery bit of the organic medicine and tools it has to offer my frenulum's long anticipated repair.

I've also read that if not enough skin was cut during the surgery, then the extra skin cab subjected to ballooning in comparison to the non-balloning guys who had more skin taken off. I do lnow that my surgeon left me quite a bit, and he didn't cut much off.

One guy on this forum (I do not remember his username???) showed a healed pic of hispenis with a lot of extra flab skin haning on his shaft just below his frenulum area. He was flacid, and I don't know how it look aesthetically when he erects. But I think his skin was stretched permanently from this same very swelling being stubborn to go down for a lengthy time.

So this could get serious.

Take a look at the profile JayB13. His post is titled "it's been 6 months and my swelling around..." his pic shows that his frenulum area swelling took so long to lose pressure, until when he finally healed, he has a lot of extra inner foreskin left. Which is weirdly not normal for a standard circumcision. The doctor didn't cut much inner foreskin out during the operation.
